Asian Forum on Caregivers & Emergency Preparedness
The Asian Community Alliance, Council on Aging of Southwestern Ohio and Hamilton County Public Health invite Asian Community members and community leaders to a Forum on Caregivers & Emergency Preparedness on Saturday, April 4, 2009 from 9:30 am -1:00 pm
This event is comprised of two sessions. The session on Caregivers with focus groups will provide a platform to engage Asian Community members in a discussion on their experiences, concerns and challenges related to providing care for parents & older adults. Your input will help us develop strategies & resources to help you provide quality care for your dear ones.
Following the session on Caregivers ,there will be a session on Emergency Preparedness addressing awareness among the Asian Community on preparing and responding to an emergency. We need your help in understanding how best to reach those with limited English in the various communities of Southwest Ohio. At the event, a representative from Hamilton County Public Health will present a basic overview of the local health threats, highlight what emergency preparedness strategies organizations and individuals can use, share existing resources and engage participants in finding what is needed in the various Asian communities.
